A gauche : maisonnette du mineur Decrucq où logeait Van Gogh

Left : the house of mineworker Decrucq, where Van Gogh used to live.

A droite : la Maison du pasteur Frank où se déroulaient les offices
et, l’école du dimanche tenue par Vincent.

Right :  Rev. Frank’s  where religeous celebrations took place,
as well as the Sunday school taught by Vincent.

Pour information : il y a déjà eu trois expositions Van Gogh à Mons

- 6 juin au 12 juillet 1914 : six toiles envoyées par Johanna Bonger (veuve de Théo)

- 22 mars au 5 mai 1958 : collection personnelle du Dr Vincent Willem Van Gogh (fils de Johanna, neveu du peintre)

- 3 octobre au 30 novembre 1980 : 100è anniversaire de Van Gogh en Belgique (43 toiles)

Et une quatrième…en 2015 : Mons , capitale européenne de la Culture :

« VAN GOGH au Borinage, naissance d’un artiste », février à mi-mai 2015 (60 oeuvres)

Already three Van Goch exhibitions took place in Mons in the past :

 

- June 6^th to July 12^th, 1914 : 6 paintings sent by Johanna Bonger (widow of Theo)

- March 22^nd  to May 5^th, 1958 : personal collection of Dr. Vincent Willem Van Gogh (son of Johanna, nephew of the painter)

- October 3^rd to November 30^th, 1980 : 100th anniversary of Van Gogh in Belgium (43 paintings)

 

And a fourth one is to come in 2015 ... : Mons, European Capital of Culture:

February to mid-May 2015 : "VAN GOGH in the Borinage, birth of an artist" (60 works)
